The Senior Operations Manager – Internal Finances will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our internal financial processes, systems, and operations are optimized to support our business objectives. This position requires a strategic thinker who excels in managing financial operations and improving efficiencies across financial systems, reporting, and compliance. As a Senior Operations Manager, you will work closely with leadership, driving the alignment of financial processes with company-wide objectives while ensuring adherence to financial regulations, best practices, and company philosophies.

Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations Management
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the internal financial department, including accounting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and internal audits.
Implement and monitor financial processes, ensuring that they meet the organization’s strategic goals and are in line with industry best practices.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
2. Process Optimization & Automation
Identify areas of inefficiency within the finance department and develop solutions to improve workflows, leveraging financial automation tools and technology to streamline processes.
Oversee the implementation of ERP and financial management systems, ensuring seamless integration across departments and teams.
Establish and maintain a system for continuous improvement within the department, focusing on cost savings, improved accuracy, and reduced cycle times.
3. Financial Planning and Analysis
Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and monitor the annual budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial resources.
Provide in-depth financial analyses, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and financial sustainability.
Lead the development and monitoring of key financial performance indicators (KPIs) for various departments and divisions.
4. Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure that all internal financial operations are compliant with national and international regulations, including tax laws, financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and internal company policies.
Lead efforts to maintain a strong internal control environment, proactively identifying and mitigating risks in financial operations.
Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and continuous improvement in financial compliance.
5. Leadership and Team Management
Lead and mentor the internal finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and professional development. Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members.
Ensure that the finance team is aligned with company philosophies, particularly regarding financial integrity, ethical practices, and corporate responsibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, Legal, IT) to ensure the financial operations are integrated and support broader organizational goals.
6. Stakeholder and Leadership Reporting
Serve as a liaison between internal finance operations and senior leadership, providing accurate and timely reports and insights to guide decision-making.
Ensure financial information is presented in a clear, understandable manner to non-financial stakeholders.
7. Cost Management and Financial Efficiency
Work closely with procurement and other departments to manage and reduce operational costs while ensuring high service levels.
Implement and manage programs aimed at cost-saving initiatives, improving cash flow management, and optimizing financial resource allocation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree in Finance or an MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial operations, accounting, budgeting, and financial planning within a corporate environment.
At least 3 years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in industries such as technology, manufacturing, or professional services.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or other ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and reporting.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations (IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
Leadership & Communication:
Proven track record in leading and developing teams, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration, working with HR, IT, and legal teams to improve financial processes.
Project Management:
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring deliverables are met within timelines and budgets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is highly desirable.
Professional certifications like Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) are preferred.
Industry Experience:
Prior experience in financial operations within tech-focused or innovation-driven industries is highly advantageous.
Experience in ERP implementations, process automation, and financial systems integration would be a significant advantage.
Advanced Analytical Skills:
Expertise in utilizing data analytics tools for financial forecasting, risk analysis, and decision-making.
Experience in advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, and cost management strategies.
Change Management Expertise:
Proven ability to lead change management initiatives within finance, particularly around process reengineering and system upgrades.
Financial Risk Management:
Experience in financial risk identification, mitigation, and control, especially in high-growth environments where scale and complexity evolve rapidly.

This role requires strict adherence to financial data security protocols. The Senior Operations Manager must ensure all financial data is stored, transmitted, and handled securely, with strong data privacy measures in place.
The candidate must undergo a background check and may be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to protect sensitive financial information.
Regulatory Compliance:
Must ensure compliance with global and local financial regulations (such as SOX in the U.S. or similar regulations in other countries) to protect the integrity of financial reporting and operations.
